Before we were married, Cory and I spent a lot of time day dreaming (it was free and we were poor college students). We talked about what our life would be like and how many children we would have... We decided to have a few biological children and then adopt a few children. But, God's plan was a little different. So, after a few years of infertility and some treatments, we decided to take a different path and that is where our adoption journey officially began.
We sent in our pre-application to Bethany Christian Services in October. Shortly after that, we had our first of four homestudy appointments. A lot occurred in our hearts and finances between then and our second appointment last week. God has provided through many different people mailing or handing us money for the "Hunneyman Adoption Fund". Which has totally blown our socks off! Nothing occurred for 2 months and then suddenly, money came flooding in from good friends to friends of friends. We are currently working on paperwork and other miscellaneous tasks in order to schedule our third appointment. I'm sure I'll be sharing more as we go along. So stay tuned!
